Pam
I run a BCS 853 the trick for mine when rotateing the control yoke is
to
lift up on the handls as you pull the lever to unlock the rotaiton pin
keeping the pin well lubricated is important. The quick hitch assembly is
really tight to start out with but after a few dozen uses it will start to
limber up and you will develop the proper technique ( the bcs wiggle) to
engage the implements quickly. Its just matter of getting a feel for it.
I felt the same way about the depth of tillage when I first started
useing
my bcs but eventualy realized that with the 26 inch width it just takes a
couple extra passes to get to the depth I am used to from the 20 inch arrons
I used to use the soil at depth is harder than at the surface and an extra 6
inch width makes a difference when you start digging deep. One trick that
makes mounting front mount tools like the brush hogg easier is to back onto
them then rotate the control yoke once the quick hitch is engaged. This way
you arnt fighing the weight of the engine while trying to align the quick
hitch. Unfortunatly I cant do that while hitching up the hay rake or baler
so I can get a bit annoyed hooking on to those implements but I have gotter
pretty good even with those on a quick change out.

We have a newish BCS 732 which converts between walk-behind tiller and
brush mower. The conversion task is not as quick and easy as I'd
hoped. Anyone else out there got one of these and developed good tips?
We have the Quick-Hitch. Converting involves raising the Quick-Hitch
pin; detaching the attachment by pushing and pulling; unclipping the
gear and PTO levers; activating the handlebar locking lever; rotating
the handlebars and re-locking them; making sure no cables are pinched;
putting the other attachment on and latching the pin. Problems we have
are related to dirt seizing up the handlebar locking lever, and its
cable and spring, and not having enough hands and feet (and strength!)
to do all the simultaneous pushing, pulling and rotating! Oiling and
greasing everything does help, but even so, I think surely it could be
easier than this? Do other BCS users have help to offer?

Also, the tiller does not seem to go as deep as our old Troybilt,
which is especially noticeable with the furrower. Any comments,
anyone?
