Alison - I guess with the open sides this question might be
irrelevant, but I was wondering what you were doing to promote
germination of salad mix in hot weather. Allan

[Wiediger, Alison] WE usually seed in late afternoon and turn on the
drip for several hours to lower soil temps. Lettuce seed can go
temperature dormant with only a short time at high temperatures, so
seeding on a hot sunny morning and/or not getting moisture on the
seeding immediately can drastically inhibit germination.
