Hello,

In the April/May 2005 issue of Mother Earth News, there is an article entitled "Grow Great-Tasting Tomatoes" by Barbara Pleasant.  The author suggests that there is a direct relationship between the plant's amount of healthy green foliage and the good taste of tomatoes that it produces.

This year I plan to prune the suckers of our indeterminate plants and train them on a stake.  Need I worry that pruning leaves will give me tomatoes that will be less tasty?  I realize that many gardeners prune their tomatoes so perhaps this is not an issue?

Thank you,

Margaret
