I have found that growing the blue varieties is easier - the potato beetles
aren't attracted to them as much. The All Blue have not been good producers
for me. What has been good is Caribe - a bluish outside, but a lovely white
interior - very tasty.

French Fingerlings have grown VERY well for me - I can always count on a
copious crop - and saving the seed for these is easy too, so I have become
independent fingerling-potato-wise. They are very tasty, too, and make some
larger fingerlings. Russian Banana is another prolific variety for me.
Also tastes good, although somewhat smaller (which you may like more), but
the French Fingerlings are absolutely beautiful, so digging them is an
aesthetic experience! They are rosy outside.
