Dennis Kucinich.

See: http://www.kucinich.us/issues/issue_10key.htm - this
is his list of 'Ten Key Issues'. Another one of his 'Ten
Key Issues' btw is 'Restored Rural Communities and Family
Farms.'

I don't think he has any chance of getting the nomination,
but at least hopefully he'll make more people conscious of
these issues.

Right. It's a circular process, and feeds on itself.

It could be stopped by effective government actions,
including legislation. This will *not* happen unless the
majority of the voters in this country wakes up in time to
realize that the 'imminent danger' facing our country is
really the job flight.

It's not just manufacturing jobs anymore, either. It's lots
of well-paid white-collar jobs too.

Yup. None of us is going to be perfect in this respect, but
we can at least try.

Producing and selling food locally goes a long way in the
right direction.
