Hi , on the mosquito front. Many years ago I read that locals were controlling mossies in an african lake by fermenting a small amount of bacillus thurengiensis (Dipel) using the milk in a fresh coconut. Ferment for  a few days then float said coconut in the lake.Apparently only a few coconuts per lake gave control. I tried it here in Oz as I lived in a street with open storm water drains. The drains aften stagnated between storms and mossies bred. It worked as we had a remarkable reduction in Mossies that whole season. Perhaps coincidence I dont know.I dont live there now and mossies arnt aproblem where I live now.
Kind Regards

Hello everyone.  I live in North Georgia with my husband and two rescue greyhounds.  They are my companions in the garden.  I garden on a very small scale in raised beds for my vegetables with smaller ground level bed for my herbs.  For the past four years I have been studying herbalism.  Plants were the earth's first medicines, and I am honored to have them growing in my yard.  We have had record amounts of rain this spring which is great for our trees and bushes but not always so great for our herbs and vegetables.  Though truly, I am not complaining about it.  If any has any ideas about enjoying our friends the mosquitos, please let me know!
