Excuse me, but where do you find 'black peat'?

In fact, what brands of peat have you folks found to be suitable for
starting mixes. I bought a 3cuft block at Lowes earlier this season
that is totally wretched stuff. But how to identify a higher quality?

thanks

Liz - If I do something like this, it's a $35 minimum charge plus
postage to an ag lab (through the ext agent) do you get lab exams for
free in your area?

What temp are these cukes being stored? They will do best at 34=9AF to 38=9AF
according research published in American Vegetable Grower. if youi are
keeping them at a higher temp such as in a cooler with ice packs or cold
water they will quickly degrade.

I store mine in plastic tubs with a damp towel over top or in plastic
grocery bags in the fridge.
