Why can't one start seeds in the cells and stay there until it's
transplanting time?

Each year we start 20-30,000 seedlings in 50 cell sheets and they go right into the ground when ready. You start the 10 week flowers 10 weeks before time to transplant and the 6 week tomatoes 6 weeks before transplanting. We also grow a lot of basil (about 1500 plants) and we start it in the greenhouse and transplant. Never a problem despite what some catalogs might say. In fact, this is our preferred way with basil.

The weather is saying we're do for another major winter snow storm Thursday. Isn't winter ever going to give up this year?

Rick -- What is 'The Sky'? Is this a site you can tell us about?
Thanks. -- Tom

Judy was in the "big city" tonight so called me on the radio when she was
about 30 miles out and she asked if I knew where Saturn was. I honestly
did
not know, so she asked me to bring up "The Sky," which is a standard
