Good morning - anybody have some knowledge or thoughts on how we can get our strawberries in at a faster rate? We are planting approx 15,000 new plants in a fibre fabric turf cover. Currently we are sending one person ahead to chalk mark the cut spots, then another to cut an X with an exacto (sp?) knife, followed by an individual putting in holes using a transplant plug. The group of us then go back and start planting (we're using wet burlap sacks to drag our plants along with us). We've been at it for a while now from 6a - 9p and it looks like we may be finished around May 9 - 11. I know it's getting kind of late to get these girls in the ground but we had a problem with our irrigation being down for quite sometime. Your experience and thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jacqueline
