There are a couple of options besides doing something creative. The
greenhouse industry uses a locking channel system that's easy to put on.
There are several names like Ag-Loc or Poly-loc. Another option is to use
furring strips. They are usually 1" by 2" by 8' strips of wood, relatively
inexpensive. Wrap the bottom end of the plastic around the furring strip so
that the plastic is on the back side. Then you can nail through to the base
board without compromising the integrity of the plastic. But it needs to be
strong. Popsicle sticks would just disintegrate if they were used to hold
down plastic on a Hi-Tunnel. The force of the wind on the plastic is just to
great.
