You might check out the used Saabs in the area. I bought a 1993 Saab 900
Turbo Convertible in 2007 with 160K on it. It has been a great car and I'm at
220K, can expect to get over 300K out of the engine. I have a friend that has
owned used Saabs for many years and he has had good luck with them. Anything
older than 10 years is gonna need repair at some point (clutch, air
compressor, etc.) and these aren't cheap, but to be expected. The older Saabs
have a huge following with forums and people that can help you repair/upgrade
your auto, and they are pretty easy to work on even if you're not
mechanically inclined. Also, as far as the Saabs go, I would *not* avoid the
turbo - it really makes the car a dream to drive especially if you're
navigating I-40 on a daily basis. You could probably find someone that has a
lot of experience mechanically with a Saab on the forum that would check your
potential buy out for you.

This 9-3 SE convertible looks sweet, but I'm a big convertible fan. The 9-5
Aero's are very nice and comfortable.
