I am not an Instructional Technologist, but I know a few on Twitter. :D

There a few good organizations for Instructional Technology where you should start.

Educause: http://www.educause.edu/

NITLE: http://www.nitle.org/

And here's a link someone just passed me on some innovative thinking: http://gamebasedteaching.ning.com/

You could also check with our own Paul Jones, who knows a thing or two about it. Good luck!

Thomas

P.S. The NITLE folk prefer to prounounce that acronym to rhyme with "nightly" rather than "title".

Hello all,

I see job offers here and there for Instructional Designers. It's something I
know I could do, and something I know I would love doing, but it's something
I have no experience doing (at least according to their criteria). Are there
any Instructional Designers out there, or anyone who knows any, who could
tell me what kind of education and/or training I would need to embark on this
fabulous career path?

Thanks in advance,

- Dave P.
