The check engine light on my '99 Honda Accord Ex came on and both Autozone and my regular mechanic are fingering the catalytic converter as the culprit.

My regular mechanic is recommending a dealer replacement part instead of third party because they've had problems with third party parts not holding up. Dealer part is $900 plus $70 to $100 labor. Ouch.

Third party part options run $150 to $275. Has Anyone had any experience with catalytic converter issues on '99 Honda Accords? Any advice?

Go out to WASP Auto near the 54-55 interchange in RTP. They will
tell you the truth. Excellent Honda repair and diagnosis. Any
Japanese car except Nissan (and they may do those now.)

That reminds me I need to take in my Tacoma for the 10k checkup.
Good luck, Roger
