Subject: [Inet-announce] FW: [Inet-plan] draft announcement for
Septembergathering

The September gathering of the InterNetWorkers will be an early one.
Chill out or get wired at Shade Tree Coffee in Durham your fellow bit-heads,
gear-heads, or information mavens.

And please start those RSVPs coming!

What: InterNetWorkers September 2005 Gathering
When: Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Shade Tree Coffee
~ 2816 Erwin Road, directly across from Duke University
~ 919-321-8389
Why: Summer is slipping away

Shade Tree is a great coffee shop in Durham, close to Duke's research
complex. The owners have agreed to stay open past their 9pm closing on
Thursday (until 10:00) to accommodate us.
The coffee is great, and they have lots of tasty pastries from Guglhupf.
And ice cream. For those who need to get dinner, Chai's, a pan-Asian
noodle joint, is in the same building, and Quisno's is nearby. It will be
OK with Shade Tree if you bring in takeout (but be discreet).
Oh, and they have free wireless broadband.

Please RSVP to me if you plan to come to the gathering so that I can give
the Shade Tree folks an advance head count.

Shade Tree Coffee is located on Erwin Road in the new twin apartment/retail
buildings there at the corner of LaSalle Street. There is ample parking for
the complex behind the place.

Directions:

~From Chapel Hill, take 15-501 North towards I-85. Take Exit 107 for NC
751 and turn right (towards Duke) at the bottom of the ramp. The traffic
light at the bottom of the hill is for Erwin Road, turn left onto Erwin.
Follow Erwin about a mile until you see the two new buildings on the left.
Turn left into the driveway just before the Erwin Terrace complex or left
onto LaSalle Street (at the light) and left again into the parking area.
Park in the upper lot close to the building. Shade Tree faces Erwin Road
and the courtyard between the two structures.

~From Raleigh, take I-40 to the Durham Expressway (NC 147) North.
Follow 147 to the Fulton Street/Hillandale Road exit. At the bottom of the
ramp, turn left (towards Duke Hospital). Fulton ends shortly on Erwin Road,
turn right onto Erwin. Follow Erwin through a few more traffic lights and
look for the new Erwin Terrace complex on the right, at LaSalle Street.
Turn right onto LaSalle Street (at the light) and left again into the
parking area or right into the driveway just after the Erwin Terrace
complex. Park in the upper lot close to the building.

~ Shade Tree faces Erwin Road and the courtyard between the two structures.

See you there!
