After I wrote that I read an article in a magazine (Vanity Fair I think)
that said Night Club goers in Spain were letting the owner insert an
electronic ID device under their skin so they didn't have to wait at the
door with a paper ID. CRAZY!

Perhaps we are getting TOO comfortable with technology. What do you
think?

Heh. That reminds me of a friend from my dorm in college. He was a
hardcore Marxist. Then he got a Ph.D. in business administration from
Columbia and went on to join the faculty at Georgia Tech where he's
still pretty much a Marxist. Crypto-Marxist, perhaps. :)

| 1 in 3 teens says First Amendment goes 'too far'
|
| It turns out the First Amendment is a second-rate issue to many of
| those nearing their own adult independence, according to a study of
| high school attitudes released today.
|
| The original amendment to the Constitution is the cornerstone of the
| way of life in the United States, promising citizens the freedoms of
| religion, speech, press and assembly.
|
| Yet, when told of the exact text of the First Amendment, more than
one
|
| in three high school students said it goes "too far" in the rights it
| guarantees. Only half of the students said newspapers should be
allowed
| to publish freely without government approval of stories.
