Paul,

Linksys now sells a pack of dual 7db gain antennas for their 802.11b/g
wireless devices. These can be had in the neighborhood of $35. As I'm sure
you know, 7db is an enormous amount of signal boosting. This should get you
the reception you are after.

Of course as some have suggested, moving the device to another location
might be the easiest solution. Somewhere central to the whole area to be
covered is best and as high as possible. If you are like me and don't want
the access point away from the other network gear, then Linksys also sells a
remote antenna kit, which has two long wires and a base to move your
antennas to a higher spot away from the wireless device.

There are also a number of third party antennas now available. If you must
have one asap, CompUSA in Raleigh carries the linksys, dlink and their own
brand of antennas.
