Me neither, and my guess is, neither do they!

I was called for jury duty last year, but I'm not a US citizen! I'm a legal
resident, and a tax payer, so I thought since I may need the justice system
some day, they could ask me to serve it too. But I did call first, to make
sure.

The lady told me I didn't have to go, the "invitation" had been a mistake. So
I asked where they got my name from, and she said they get people's names when
they register to vote.. so I said I'd never registered to vote, I can't vote
here! She didn't know what to say.

They must have gotten your information from the InterNetWorkers list.
I mean, heh, "Where else could they have gotten it from?!?!?!"

Interest. I don't know much about the jury selection process, but I
would've guessed these people would be ineligible due to conflicts of
interest.

Sounds like jury/judge tampering to me...
