We've been planning a clothing drive as part of the upcoming December gathering and InterNetWorkers 4th anniversary shindig. Perhaps we could also use the same occasion to collect donated books for this worthy cause.

I live in Durham and am willing to personally deliver the books.

Do folks here have any of the books listed below, or similar age-appropriate titles for donation? Would you be willing to bring them to the gathering?

P.S. As noted, time to start cleaning your closets for clothing donations!

Dear folks:
Admittedly I am not familiar with primary schools in this area,
but I was somewhat taken back that resources, namely books, for many urban
students were in such short supply. (See message below.)
If any of you wish to donate some books, I can collect at our
December meeting and deliver them.

A Language Arts teacher at a Durham Middle School doesn't have enough
books for her students to read. If you would like to help by donating

a book to her class, she will gladly accept material deemed acceptable
for 6-8 graders (fiction/non-fiction). She would especially appreciate a
book from her wish list (see below) or one that has won an award (ex:
Newberry Medal).
