Here's a news item about the FBI and the computer industry joining
forces to combat -- with a "single fix" -- all of the recent viruses
which have caused so much havoc.

http://news.findlaw.com/ap/ht/1700/10-1-2001/20011001170609840.html

Excerpt:
"WASHINGTON (AP) _ The FBI is teaming with the computer industry to
offer Americans a single fix to prevent the 20 worst threats that have
emerged on the Internet _ from the Code Red worm to the Melissa virus.

"All of the recent Internet attacks _ from Melissa to Code Red _ took
advantage of these well-known program vulnerabilities, and the
government hopes to get users and companies to patch them before the
next virus appears."

Single fix, hmmnnn.... maybe Red Hat 7.1?
