Hello all. I am writing an article for N&O's Career section coming out
in mid-February. I'm interested in talking with local people who have
been especially impacted by the dot-com bust or other shakiness in the
high tech industry. What are your career goals and how have they
changed? If you wouldn't mind talking with me for a few minutes, please
email me your name and phone number. Thanks!

Hi Carol -- If it's not too late and you're still interested, I'd be happy to talk with you. We've got an up-side picture here. Egarden.com is still expanding -- we announced two new positions this month. We've got 32 people now in Raleigh and about 50 nationwide.

My career plans? To see this period as an opportunity to add some great talent to an already terrific team.

Despite this dip in the stock market, I strongly believe that e-commerce will continue to offer significant efficiencies for businesses and individuals -- as well as a wealth of options that will improve our quality of life. It's a great place to gain responsibility and experience too.

Good luck on your article!

Linda
