I know your question "but what can we do?" is rhetorical, and besides I have
no answer, anyway. None of the groups that you would think would be opposing
this stuff seem to be interested (ACLU).

The problem is that you can't really hide your identity , anymore . If you
are not breaking the law ,(or sometimes, even if you are) you should have the
absolute right and freedom to speak, congregate, meet, etc, with no worries
about those activities causing you harm in the future.

It is already hard to buy a pre-paid cell phone, without ID . It is almost
impossible, now, to find decnt pre-paid anonymous debit cards, in which you
can trust and don't charge loan shark fees.

I keep reading , hoping some ingenious person comes up with an effective idea
to fight this stuff............................
