Hi, April, welcome back.

Roy and I spent some time in Keene and Brattleboro last fall and I loved the area then, and I'd never even heard of the nekkid doings at the Farmer's Market. I guess after a winter up there once I'd feel the need to get sky clad and run around nekkid amongst the veggies too. (Although I'd do it in my own garden, I think.) There was one house on 35 acres literally right outside Keene I was very interested in. The wiser Yankee (that would be Roy) he kept muttering things about north facing slopes and doom.

I was pitting those little sour cherries and I just used a knife. I knew there was probably some gadget but I don't normally do these little sour dudes, I just got carried away because they looked so good. The paper clip idea is a good one. Not that I have any paper clips but I can put Roy on it and I'm sure he'll invent the perfect thing. It is so cool to be married to a mad genius.

Brattleboro was in the news a while back as one of those cities who have voted to impeach Bush and Cheney. I keep hoping someone will forget and take them touring and some Brattleboro local will slip up and put cuffs on them. : ) Hey, a girl can dream.

Good luck with the massage business.

Hi Toni!

I didn't get as many appointments as I was expecting last summer, so I set up a tent and a massage chair at the farmer's market. I had a great time, met lots of new people, and gained a couple regular clients, too!

I'm loving how your country practice is working. I am specializing in home visits, and people seem to really like the special attention. I make homemade balms, and I'm adding some to my booth at the farmers' market. I am trying to focus on some product that makes money and saves my hands!

Funny thing about this area; I set up in the Keene market (SW NH) and I get some customers who are headed over to Brattleboro, VT (SE VT) for the farmer's market. The Brattleboro market is a much bigger affair, and I've been told that they have a couple massage therapists there, all with lines at the booths to get massage!! Here in Keene, we seem to be a bit more reserved in the touch department.

You may have heard about Brattleboro and the naked folks that hang out there! When word got out via the AP, lots of "creepy" naked folks started to show up there! Yikes!!

It always amazes me that a distance of about 20 miles can have such a culture difference.

April
