thanks,

I've didn't though these tests.
Now I've did it, I'm more confused.

from tsql command processor, everything perfect, dates are returned correctly either from getdate() or from table data.
but from php, I've got the dates returned with the month - 1 yet, even with getdate()

here's my php code
$varia = mssql_connect("server","linux","linux");
mssql_select_db("testdb",$varia);
$rs = mssql_query("select getdate() as today");
$row= mssql_fetch_array($rs);
echo "<p>" . $row['today'] . "</p>";
$rs = mssql_query("Select * from v_Conges where code='CR'", $varia);
$row = mssql_fetch_assoc($rs);
echo "<p>" . $row['Debut'] . " " . $row['Fin'] . "</p>";

the dates displayed in my php page are :

2005-05-01 15:53:12
2005-04-04 00:00:00 2005-04-04 00:00:00

the dates returned from tsql are :
2005-Jun-01 15:40:40PM
2005-May-04 00:00:00AM 2005-May-04 00:00:00AM

I've discovered today, the first june 2005, that all dates returned

from
MSSQL db to our intranet web site have the month part - 1.
eg : the stored date '1st june 2005' in our agenda table is given as

'1
may 2005' by freetds.
The same query returns the correct date from MSSQL Query Analyser

No configuration files has changed since 2 years I use freedts to

access
MSSQL db from LAMP linux server.
neither locales.conf nor freetds.conf

So, my question is = how can it be ???

I don't know. My tests show everything is shipshape.
$ printf "select getdate(), datepart(month, getdate())\ngo\n" \
|bsqldb -S$S -U$U -P$P
...
-------------------------- -----------
Jun 01 2005 09:27AM 6
1 rows affected

$ printf "select getdate(), datepart(month, getdate())\ngo\n" \
|sqsh -S$S -U$U -P$P

------------------- -----------
Jun 01 2005 09:27AM 6

(1 row affected)

$ printf "select getdate(), datepart(month, getdate())\ngo\n" \
|tsql -S$S -U$U -P$P
locale is "C"
locale charset is "646"

Perhaps there's some date format confusion, and you're getting Day 0
which a higher level interprets as Month -1?
