It was renamed to tds_set_client_charset(). I think at one time the server
charset was assumed/implied, so there was no function to set the server
charset. After tds_set_server_charset() was introduced, tds_set_charset()
was ambiguous, in context.

Thanks for mentioning that file; it's falling out of date. We should move
any useful information into the reference manual.

If I may ask, how did you come to be concerned with this function?
