I don't know about writes , but we are running production with Solaris 7
connecting to MSSQL 7 using freeTDS 0.51 ( with DBD::Sybase. I used gcc
2.95.2 . freeTDS is much easier to use than Sybase ct lib.

I am not sure we have tested with writes , but I am getting ready to test
that this week for another application .

DBD::sybase has to be re-installed after setting SYBASE env variable to
freeTDS path. But I am sure you know that already..
