Sorry. Yes I can ping the box so I don't think I have a routing problem.
$SYBASE is set to /usr/local/freetds.

What is the default TCP port that Sybase listens on? Is it the same as
MSSQL7?

Should TDS version 4.2 work with Sybase 10?
