Hello,

IMAP is happy to announce our Permaculture Design Certification course (PDC) which will be offered in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, from December 1st - 15th, 2013.

This is an excellent way to immerse yourself in a design paradigm that nurtures nature and provides for all. It is being taught by Rony Lec of IMAP and Shad Qudsi of Atitlan Organics. I should note here that IMAP is the only internationally r
ecognized Permaculture Certifying Organization in Guatemala, which makes this the only truly recognized certification course in the country.

We think this course is extra special, because not only will all of the core permaculture principals be covered, but we will also focus on Mayan Cosmovision and how it influences our work with plants, soil, and animals. It will also deal with how to actually make a comfortable living from a sustainable, land-based, natural business.

For a full list of what will be covered, Click Here.

Here are some links for more info and the sign up page: http://imapermaculture.wordpress.com/mesoamerican-permaculture-design-course/

and the FAQ here:
http://imapermacultura.wordpress.com/faq-about-the-permaculture-design-course/

As you will notice, the price is high ($1,500 as of October 2nd), although close but slightly less to similar certification courses. That being said, we are offering two deals:

1) Sign up before October 1st and get a $150 discount.

2) The course is being held one week in San Lucas at IMAP and one week in Tzununa at Atitlan Organics. People who know the area or are comfortable finding their own sleeping and food arrangements can save $125 per week. So if you use provided accommodation in San Lucas, but find your own place in Tzununa, then you will save $125 for the week in Tzununa. If you find your own lodging and food for the whole two week course, you will receive a $250 discount.

I know you may not be around Guatemala during this time, but maybe you know someone who might be interested in attending. It would be greatly appreciated if you could forward this around. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Many thanks,

Myriam and the IMAP team
