On Sunday (Sep 15), join IthaCanners, Chris and Laura and their cow Aspen, on their homestead to learn how to keep a family cow.
Register on line here.

Come learn the in and outs of keeping your own family dairy cow! We will cover: breeds, finding the right cow, nutrition needs, shelter, fencing, the cow's lactation cycle, calving basics, milking (hand and machine), trouble-shooting and common illnesses/infections, calf-sharing, raw milk vs. pasteurization, and uses of milk (yogurt, cheeses, etc) as requested.

Just curious? Thinking of getting your own cow? Expecting your first cow?

People on all aspects of the family cow path are welcome!

Come meet our lovely Aspen and her baby, Chloe!
