Peter, from my ethics area I know Eugene Rogers has written a fair amount on
Aquinas' use of Romans esp Rom 1 and issues of "natural". His book
["Sexuality and the Christian Body"] lists following possible interesting
leads if you want to explore -

"Paul as Professor of Theology: The Image of the Apostle in St Thomas'
Theology" The Thomist 38 (1977): 584-605.

There are also selections from Aquinas' commentary on Romans [9-11] in
Fowl's The Theological Interpretation of Scripture: Classic & Contemporary
Readings, pp320-37.

Thomas Domanyi, Der Romerbriefkommentar des Thomas von Aquin: Ein Beitrag
zur Untersuchung seiner Auslegungsmethoden, Basler und Berner Studien zur
historischen und systematischen Theologie, Vol 39 (1979).

A translation of Aquinas' commentary on Romans is in preparation by Stephen
Boguslawski and there are apparently rare French & German translations [I
can forward refs if you are interested]

The course sounds fascinating.

Andrew.
