As to the question of the date of Jesus' execution, I recommend John P.
Meier, A Marginal Jew: Rethinking the Historical Jesus, vol. 1., The Roots
of the Problem and the Person (ABRL; Doubleday, 1991), 386-402. On Pauline
chronology, Joe Fitzmyer either in the New Jerome Biblical Commentary
(Prentice Hall, 1990) or in its reprint is helpful (if not definitive).

Bob S. writes: << What are the best dates for
1. Jesus' crucifixion
2. Paul's conversion
3. The first(?) "apostolic conference" described in Gal. 1:18 with Peter
and James "the Lord's brother"
4. The second(?) apostolic conference described in Gal. 2:1-10? >>

One more question raised by most Galatians commentaries I looked at;
Do the 14 years in Gal 2:1 date from his conversion or the meeting three
years after his conversion?
