Hi everybody!

Does anybody on this list have any idea for a band or musician who might be interested in participating at the iCommons summit in Sapporo (see below)... and hopefully also perform at the cc-HK launch? They don't need to promise to release all their songs under CC for the rest of eternity, but if they would agree to release one song under any CC-HK license, that would be tremendous.

Thanks.
Rebecca

Dear all,

The "CC Asia Mega Mix" concert has been a most memorizable night!

Our goal is now to produce a physical CD album by the time of
iCommons Summit and to perform live at Sapporo. To get things going,
I think I will just send everyone (to be) involved this message,
so as to let each of you have the others' e-mail addresses, and
to start planning as groups and as a whole.

Here are the artists appearing at the concert:

Kou Chou Ching <info AT kou.com.tw>
Jui-Chuan Chang <eye_write AT yahoo.com.tw>

Note that we did not have artists from Japan, China Mainland,
and Hong Kong. We will especially need help from

Chunyan Wang <cwang360 AT yahoo.com>
Rebecca MacKinnon <rebecca.mackinnon AT gmail.com>

to reach out artists in their jurisdictions to seek their interest.

And we also need

Fumi Yamazaki <fumi AT technorati.jp>

as the liaisons at CC HQ, iSummit Sapporo, and Sony.

Let me also introduce people at the "CC" list:

Jimmy Soniano (CC PH) <jimmy AT soriano-ph.com>
Jongsoo Yoon (CC KR) <iwillbe AT chol.com>
Wen-Yin Chou (CC TW) <emyleo AT iis.sinica.edu.tw>
Bob Chao (CC TW) <bobchao AT iis.sinica.edu.tw>
Tyng-Ruey Chuang (CC TW) <trc AT iis.sinica.edu.tw>

OK! That is for introduction. So please start
talking to one another on ideas and plans!

I hope to see MoShang and Pig Head Skin next week
to see if we have ways to raise money for the project.
Please start looking for sponsors by yourselves as well.

Before anything happens, perhaps we can just enjoy some
of the video of the concert (thanks! MoShang & Bob Chao):

best,
Tyng-Ruey

Hello there,
Thanks for the email. I think we should get an email thread going with all the CC Asia Band members and spark some ideas. I am for the idea of getting a basic melody written out and passed along to everyone for their input and part. Perhaps keyboards & bass can be laid first, or if you like, I can try to spark some things with a guitar riff first? I can get the file over to Mo Shang in whichever format he may need, however, I am thinking mp3 is the friendliest. But we will all keep the layer we recorded in the original form and not the compressed mp3.
 Mo Shang, any thoughts?
 Regards,
Sudev
