The BasicLinux I am using is at this link:
http://distro.ibiblio.org/baslinux/

If there is another that will make this easier please provide a link
and I will use it.
I found a 2.something version but it required more resources that 3.5
and the Toshiba T2400CS laptop I am setting up has only a 50 mhz
processor and 12 megs of ram. I can increase it to 24 if that would
make much difference.

The instructions I found were supposed to be generic, this is the link.
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/ISP-Hookup-HOWTO.html

There is a PPP On and Off but it does not function-I have been busy at
work but asap I will try moving the modem to a different com port, I
assumed since there was serial port and a ps2 it would have to be 0 1
or 2 but I will try some more.
Thanks
