You can use cardctl from Slackware to find your own manfid:
cardctl ident

You can also use cardmgr (already in BL3):

cardmgr -vo
-----------

Steven says cardmgr can also give manfid, but
I think the start script has to run correctly
before you can get the manfid (meaning you need to
already have it identified and config edited properly).

That is not correct. cardmgr -vo will show you
the manfid for unknown cards. The card does not
have to be listed in the config file.

Do you have to run pcmcia 'start' first (which loads the pcmcia base modules) before using cardmgr?
