I use pure-ftpd, which I got from Delilinux a couple of years ago.
It works just fine in BL2.1 and BL3.

If you cannot find it on Delilinux (I had trouble finding it again), then
I can post the pureftp.tgz package. It is very secure as a server - I use
it on our home LAN which is ADSL-linked to the net.
