OK, I've just uploaded the package here:
-------------------------------------------------
http://www.basiclinux.com.ru/add-ons/mailserv.tgz
-------------------------------------------------

I've tested it on the loop BL3 (DOS version).
Works fine.

It takes just three steps to run it.
(1) pkg mailserv.tgz
(2) adduser george (or bill or whatever)
(3) start-mail

Of course you need some sort of network connection first
(insmod, ifconfig). Ping to check your connection before
running start-mail. BTW the mailserv.tgz package includes
modules for eepro100 and rtl8139 network cards (because I
needed those for testing).

The hostname for the mail server is currently: mail.local
So address mail to: george AT mail.local (or whatever AT mail.local)
The hostname can be changed in the /var/qmail config files

In your mail client, put the network address of the BL3 computer
(192.168.1.2 or whatever) into the config for both the SMTP and
POP3 servers. The POP3 username/password is the same as you
entered in BL3 when you ran adduser.

Have fun. Let me know if you have any problems.

Cheers,
Steven
