ldconfig -r /mnt

Cheers,
Steven

I had, in BL2 /lib, modules from SW9.1 (2.3.2) and SW10.2 (2.3.5)
along with SW8.1 (2.2.5), having already deleted 2.1.3 (SW7.1).

mount /dev/hdb4 /hd
cd /hd/lib
rm lib*2.3.* (the .* is necessary to save a library in *2.3)
ldconfig -r /hd

This linked the libraries to 2.2.5 versions again.
I could then chroot to /hd without the 'FATAL: kernel too old'

I have removed the ISA modem since I should now be able to run BL2 with kernel 2.2.26 and associated modules.
