I don't know. I've never tried sftp.

At the moment I'm concentrating on reducing the size
of BL3, so telnet (small) is in and ssh (big) is out.
The same reasoning applies to e3pi and pico. That
could change in future versions of BL3 when I see
which way users are going with it.

It may be that the majority of users want something
else (eg. more fonts) rather than ssh.

In order to keep the zip as small as possible and to
reduce the footprint for old PCs, the base BL3 is very
thin. Minimum libraries, minimum fonts, busybox shell
and binaries. People looking for a solid foundation
(that can readily be expanded and upgraded) will probably
be happier with BL2.
