My church follows the Revised Common Lectionary, so I bet a lot of people
read atleast part of the story of Deborah in church this morning. At my
church, the lesson left off where we're waiting with baited breath to learn
what is going to happen once Deborah draws the enemy to them, so of course I
picked up the Bible and reviewed the rest of the story, especially since the
sermon took up the theme that the master was right to throw the servant who
merely kept the master's money safe to the outer darkness. How to make sure
the woman sitting in the pew in front of the pulpit has her nose buried in a
Bible.

Dora
