Pardon my typo. I meant “Danel” is a famous name in 14th century BCE Ugarit
(not “Daner”). Here is the opening paragraph of Wikipedia’s discussion of
Danel at Ugarit:

“Danel was a _culture hero_ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_hero) who
appears in an _Ugaritic_ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugarit) text of the
fourteenth century BCE at _Ras Shamra_
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ras_Shamra)
, where the name is rendered DNL. He is commonly identified with the
Biblical _Daniel_ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel) of _Ezekiel_
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Ezekiel) .”
