This is just one more example of how Biblical Hebrew and modern English
differ.

Hebrew used a participle with a personal pronoun suffix to indicate a
person doing something for or to the person indicated in the suffix.
But to indicate the same idea in English requires a phrase such as
"Those who (verb) for (suffix) ...", so here we deal not with the
meaning in Hebrew, but with the art of translation.
