In source criticism Vorlage refers to the text which underlies a translation.
Sometimes differences in the LXX and the MT are extremely disparate and are
not simply due to a differing understanding of the SAME underlying text
(assuming that it's simply not a matter of poor translation). In this case
there is a presumed Hebrew text which underlies the LXX which differs from
the received MT. Some evidence of this has been found in the DSS.
