I'm pretty sure it's a pure pecan. It is a grafted tree and the woman who had the house before us would never have planted a nut tree for landscaping. She left a legacy of many fruit trees and perennial vegetables of which some even survived the realtor's yard man for several years.

cross. What a pity. Some occur naturally, some are sold as
