You can get apple seeds to germinate by stratifying them for 60 days.
Place them in some peat moss or some other medium that will keep them moist and
put them in the refrigerator at about 35 degrees. After 60 days nearly all
will germinate. Some will germinate in a shorter time but if you leave
them the 60 days you will get better results. This simulates the seeds
wintering outside before they will start to grow.
