How do you raise apples from seed? I have tried it and can not seem to get the seeds to grow.

Rootstock question: I have close to 100 one-year old apple seedlings
grown from seed; the seed is from golden delicious and red delicious
apples. Is this worthwhile rootstock for budding or grafting? Will the
rootstock contain the same scab resistance of the delicious varieties?
The parent delicious trees are standard size, about 50 years old, and
unsprayed as of the last 5-10 years.
Thanks,
Jon
