| I can only give limited information as I live in a very different climate and my one medlar fruit has not yet bletted enough for me to try it. HOWEVER, I am very happy I grafted some medlar scions to my pear tree and am thinking about just buying a medlar outright. The flowers are beautiful and the foliage gives a great show in autumn. I even like the way the fruits look despite their supposed ugliness. I opted for 'Nottingham' not only because it's what I had access to but because some folks on this list said it was the best tasting. I have uploaded pictures of my medlar development from grafted scions all the way to fruit in the CRFG Flickr Pool.
