Don't know if it could be related but around here
we are having a bad problem with Scots pine dying. It's an
epidemic around here. They're calling it pine wilt. These are
perfectly healthy trees start to show a little brown, then slowly
die. In the six years we've been here, we've seen many people lose just
about their whole pine stand (and it appears it's only a matter of time for the
trees remaining). It's caused by complex interactions of Sawyer
