You better be a big dude !!
Slick holes are not good.
Clay weighs a ton; I have it too.
Also, when I was doing post holes with a 6" auger on a 3 point hitch, the
mud stick to the screw something awful.
If you got under 100 holes, use a shovel.
I can dig you a tree hole in 3 minutes in decent farm soil.
Over 100, rent a mini back-hoe.
Or, I have also paid kids 50 cents a hole, and give them a basket and say,
when that basket fits in the hole, you're done. Man can those boys dig. I mark
the spots with 7 cent flags.
