One of the apple trees I got from the former Bear Creek is definitely
not the variety I ordered and I'm hoping you can guess which variety. The
fruit ripens late September to Early October. It is green but slightly less
intensely green (yellower?) than a Granny Smith. It has no red blush, no
hint of red at all. It could be said that it is a yellow-green and has tiny
dots of darker green throughout its surface. Fruits are (very slightly)
flattened, a hair smaller than a baseball. Flesh is white and browns
(oxidizes) readily. Pleasant flavor, not aromatic; good, fresh-eating
apple.
The tree has a spreading habit and has withstood -45ยบ.
