-----Original Message-----I was on Gene Yale's wonderful Backyard Orchard site a few days ago and was bitten by the bug to graft a couple of Mini-Dwarf apples for my yard. I'm intrigued specifically with Poland 22 (P.22) and am wondering if anyone on NAFEX has used this rootstock as an interstem. I'd like to use it on Antanovka rather than MM 111 but have no idea if a P.22 / Antanovka pairing would pose any problems.

If you've got any thoughts or feedback, I'd love to hear them. I've sent an e-mail to Gene as well. It would also be great to hear what kind of yield people have gotten with these Mini-Dwarfs and how many years it took for them to fruit. Thanks.
Springs almost here!

P.S. If you've not seen Gene's site, it's quite wonderful: http://www.midfex.org/yale/intro.html
