The graft union (whip and tongue, for example) is wrapped tightly with vinyl
electricians tape or something similar. The remainder of the scion is
totally covered with parafilm. As mentioned by others, the parafilm alone is
not stout enough to secure the graft union properly.

Do you wrap just the graft union in parafilm, or do you wind parafilm
around the entire scion?
